We should ponder this quote from J. Gresham Machen in light of our modern oppressions with pronouns and triggers.
According to AG Holder, the terms “husband” and “wife” are now “hate” speech.
“DO use inclusive words like “partner,” “significant other” or “spouse” rather than gender-specific terms like “husband” and “wife” (for example, in invitations to office parties or when asking a new employee about his/her home life).”
Can you imagine trying to do a marriage ceremony without any “hate” speech under these guidelines? How long will it be before they want such things enforced in the private sector?
Well, I guess if we go by the Attorney General’s definition there is a whole lot of “hate” speech at Church of the King!
